March GLWG Meeting

This month's GLWG meeting is Tuesday March 10th at 7pm, mingle starting at 6:30.  The topic is Rigid Heddle weaving.  For those who want to do more than plain weave on a rigid heddle, the library has the book Textures and Patterns for the Rigid Heddle (1st edition) and some issues of Prairie Wool Companion which was published in the 80s and contains in depth instructions for complex weaving on a rigid heddle.  The newest catalog from Yarn Barn of Kansas contains a kit for 8 harness pick-up pinwheel pattern towels to be woven on a rigid heddle loom.  Pretty exciting.

The meeting is at Saint Mathews Church. 2418 North Aurelius Road, Holt.

Remember to bring a Show and Tell

And please note:
April's meeting will be at the Hen House in Charlotte, the new home for the GLWG Library.   Rose and Helen will explain how the materials are organized and talk about the various collections the Guild owns.
